Mehrzad Bazyar, MS. LMFT. is a Registered Board of Behavioral Science Certified licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (LMFT-108725) whose approach is integrated of \u201cCognitive Behavioral\u201d, \u201cAdlerian\u201d, \u201cFamily System\u201d, \u201cClient Centered\u201d, \u201cSolution Focused\u201d and \u201cReality Therapy\u201d. He offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each client individually dealing with Depression, Anxiety, Marriage and Family issues and grief and Bereavement.<\/p>\n
Mehrzad received his Associate degree in \u201cGeneral Studies\u201d from Indiana University and his Bachelor degree in \u201cPsychology\u201d from University of California Santa Barbara and his Master of Science in \u201cCounseling Psychology\u201d with an emphasis in \u201cMarital and Family Therapy\u201d from California Lutheran University. He also trained at Camarillo Hospice as a \u201cGrief and Bereavement Counselor\u201d and trained as a \u201cCouple Counselor\u201d at the \u201cWheel of Wellbeing Center\u201d.<\/p>\n
Mehrzad Bazyar has working experience at the “Community Counseling Services” of California Lutheran University (2014-2015); “Camarillo Hospice” as a “Grief and Bereavement Counselor” in 2016; “Aurora Vista Del Mar Behavioral Hospital” in Ventura city as a “Psychotherapist” for over 1700 adolescent and adult patients until “The Thomas Fire” destroyed the hospital on Dec. 5th, 2017. Mehrzad joined the \u201cCalifornia HOPE Team\u201d to support the Thomas Fire Victims\u2019 Psychological needs. Mehrzad has work experience at “All-In Health Foundation” Westwood office, and private practice offices in Camarillo focusing on marital\/family issues. Mehrzad joined Ventura County Behavioral Health (VCBH) as a Mental Health Clinician in 2018 and is currently conducting the Short-Term Treatment Team. Records show that he has been working with over 1850 clients at VCBH as well. Mehrzad has been providing clinical supervision for the Interns\/associates\/trainees at Dialectica Family Therapy since 2023. Mehrzad is also providing supervision for the Conejo Adult Clinic at the County of Ventura following passing the \u201cVCBH Advanced Supervision
